Hybrid Dual Fuel Systems

Hybrid dual fuel systems are a combination of a gas furnace and geothermal split heat pump system. These appliances combine the best of both heating options for comfort, efficiency and energy savings and provides for a backup heat source and redundancy in the event of mechanical failure.

This system comes with the ability to change your heating mode to either a conventional gas furnace or geothermal heat pump as desired with just the change of a setting on the thermostat. System cooling is done by the geothermal heat pump for the best in cooling efficiency with no noisy outside air condensing unit.

Installing a dual fuel system provides the customer to choose between energy sources, further protecting themselves against rising energy costs. While more costly than basic geothermal systems, the dual fuel option is a good alternative for those seeking enhanced benefits.
